Ingrowing Toenails
An ingrowing toenail is when the nail starts to grow into the side of the skin next to the nail. It is very common but can be very painful as the skin often becomes inflamed and infected.
Treatment
A section of the affected nail will be cut and removed to encourage the rest of the nail to grow correctly.
If the area has become infected then you will be advised to contact your GP for antibiotics.
Advice will be given about the correct way to cut toenails as this is a common cause.
